Dear Colleagues,

It gives us a great pleasure and honour to invite you to attend to the XX-th National Symposium, with international participation, on Microscopic Morphology, which will be held within The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, from 27th May till the 30th of May 2026 in Craiova, Romania.

This Symposium is organized by the Romanian Society of Morphology (S.R.M.), the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, and the Research Center for Microscopic Morphology and Immunology Studies, Craiova. Extends over a period of four-day scientific program, which we hope will be of the highest interest to pathologists, resident physicians, researchers, and other specialities with an interest in Morphological Sciences, and will include distinguished speakers which will deliver up-to-date presentations, workshops, and poster sessions.

This symposium is dedicated to digestive pathology, a field of major importance in current medical practice. However, the scientific program has been carefully designed to address both fundamental and practical aspects, focusing on frequently encountered pathologies in daily clinical activity.

Throughout the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to attend postgraduate courses, hands-on workshops, and interactive sessions, including the presentation and discussion of virtual histopathological slides related to digestive diseases and not only. The program also includes up-to-date reviews, original research contributions, and challenging case presentations, aiming to promote scientific exchange and professional development.

We are honoured to host distinguished international guests, renowned experts and leading personalities of the global medical community, whose presence will greatly enrich the scientific and educational value of this event.

We hope that this event will constitute the framework of constructive debates, mutual knowledge exchange, and overall, that it will lay the foundations for new collaborations and development of new scientific projects.
